Pobalscoil Neasáin

Pobalscoil Neasáin students represented Ireland at the European Youth Conference in our partner school Iecavas Viousskola Latvia from 13th to 17th of April.

Mark Kirby and Caoimhe McDermott TY as well as Simon Lawlor & Ann-Marie Barry of 5th year were accompanied by Ms Glennon and Mr McKenna.

The theme of the conference was Employment Opportunities for Young Individuals in Europe. Countries represented were Ireland, England, Hungary, Italy, Germany, Russia, Latvia.

The conference programme was packed, including bonding sessions, cultural events and other activities, including a Eurovision Song contest and visit to a candy factory. A Declaration, formulated by delegates, can be accessed here.
