In November 2008 the Parents Association organised and facilitated a meeting with Mr. Pat Mc Kenna and Ms Ni Annrachain for parents to inform them about the effect the government cutbacks will have on the school.
A petition of signatures was started from that meeting which is in the school office as all parents/guardians and teachers in the school had not had a chance to sign it.
We plan to use this petition if necessary in the future as the effects of the cutbacks become more apparent and it will then be brought into the Department of Education in protest against these cutbacks.
We want to be ready and organised when that time comes. If you have not signed it and wish to do so please ask for the book of signatures at the school office.
At that time many of the committee members emailed our local councillors and lodged objections to them about the cutbacks.
You can click here for T.D. and councillor contacts to get in touch with them to voice your concerns about the Government cutbacks in Education.
