Congratulations to the girls' under-14 basketball team who last Friday won the Dublin Schools under-14 Basketball Champions.

Also well done to their coach Mr Harrington for all his work and dedication.

Under 14 girls Basketball Match Report

Game 1
The girls first basketball match started well with Maria Yeates scoring the first basket. She added another soon after which set the match off to a good start. Along with Emma Smith and Amy Cullen they dominated the rest of the game and ended the game on a scoreline 29-10.

Game 2
This game against Loreto Ballbriggan also had us in dominant form. Especially the defense in the 2nd quarter where Loreto only scored two baskets. Lisa Flood played great in this match with great support from Danielle Long, Clodagh Fogarty, Jess Williamson and Emma Lawless.

Game 3 The Final
The 1st quarter started well but straight from the start the girls knew that this was going to be more difficult. The game was dominated by good defense work from both teams which made scoring more difficult. Luckily enough Maria Yeates continued her fine performance and was well supported by Lisa Flood, Shauna Cullen, Amy Byrne.
